Report a problem

Something is broken

Email support@libretimes.io. A report we can act on includes:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • The steps to make it happen again
  • The address of the page it happened on
  • Your browser and operating system
  • A screenshot, if there is anything to see

The steps to reproduce matter more than anything else. A bug we can trigger ourselves usually gets fixed; one we cannot often does not, however clearly it is described.

If you can tell us whether it happens every time or only sometimes, say so – intermittent problems are a different kind of hunt.

Content that breaks the rules

Comments have a Report option in their menu. That is the fastest route and the one to use where it exists.

For anything else – a publication, a profile, a collection – email report@libretimes.io with a link and a sentence on what the problem is. See Acceptable use for what the rules actually say.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. We are not able to respond at that speed.

Security problems

Do not email these to support, and do not post them publicly. See Reporting a vulnerability, which covers where to send it and what you may and may not do while looking for one.

Feature suggestions

Email feedback@libretimes.io.

Tell us the problem before the solution. "I cannot find my own drafts from last term" is more useful than "add a drafts filter", because the underlying problem often has a better answer than the one either of us thought of first.

We cannot promise to build or reply to every suggestion. LibreTimes is a small project and most of what gets asked for does not get built.

What happens to your report

It gets read, and it gets recorded. We will come back to you if we need more detail. We do not currently send an automatic notification when something you reported is fixed, so if you want to know, say so and we will tell you.
